Hawzah\ The horrendous event of Mina was an enormous tragedy and wound, and a great injustice that affected the Muslims. This incident was the cause of sorrow and grief of all Muslims and will be recorded as a disgrace in the history of Saudi.

Hawzah News Agency – (Qom, Iran)  Grand Ayatollah Safi Gulpaygani in a meeting with the Head of the Hajj and Ziyarat Commission and the General Secretary of the Martyrs and Givers Committee of Qom province, together with some of the families of those martyred in Mina, shared his sympathy with th families and called this event an enormous tragedy, saying, ‘The horrendous event of Mina was an enormous tragedy and wound, and a great injustice that affected the Muslims. This incident was the cause of sorrow and grief of all Muslims and will be recorded as a disgrace in the history of Saudi.’

The Status of the Mina Martyrs

He, by pointing to the status of the Mina martyrs, continued, ‘According to the verse “And whoever leaves his home migrating towards Allah and His Apostle, and is then overtaken by death, his reward shall certainly fall on Allah (4\100),” the reward of this action is only with Allah. If the reward of this issue is with Allah, what can man say about the greatness of this action? These honorable individuals who gained martyrdom because of this great, unforgettable injustice, have such a high status that indeed our tongues are unable and incapable of explaining it.’

The Silence of the so called Human Rights Commission

The Grand Ayatollah, by expressing his grief at the actions of International Human Rights Organizations concerning this incident, explained, ‘Surely it must be asked by all that with the existence of all this injustice that happened at Mina, why hasn’t anybody said anything? Why have the Human Rights Organizations remained silent?! Why has the UN not reacted to this disgraceful and hurtful incident?! They should have at least shown a humanly reaction to all those who were killed and injured in this tragedy that has brought about a very painful situation; however, regretfully, this was not the case.’

Deep-rooted Enmity

Ayat. Safi elsewhere in his speech said that the enmity of the Nasibis is a deep-rooted and ancient one and said. ‘However, these Nasibis, just as during the time of Imam Ali (a.s.), had enmity and hatred for him; today they have enmity and hatred for his (a.s.) friends and followers and have shown that hatred in this situation.'

ISIS; the source of Muslims contempt

In another part of his speech, the source of emulation, by mentioning the crimes of ISIS, added, ‘Today they support this group who kill people, especially children, in the name of Islam, has become the source of the Muslims contempt. ISIS, with their violent and inhumane actions, perform the ugliest of deeds ion the name of Islam. All must know that this group does not possess a speck of Islam and has no connection to it.’

Be the Ambassadors of the Mina Martyrs

Ayat. Safi concluded his speech by saying. ‘I see myself as being part of this grave and painful tragedy. You, the noble families of the martyrs of Mina, must know that with all this grief and anguish, Allah has granted you a very high status; so be proud. Your loved ones who were martyred while dressed in Ihram (garb of Hajj) have gained a very lofty status, as they partook in this spiritual journey with divine goals. You must also be their ambassadors and the protectors of their values by having patience, being chaste and with your hijabs be the defenders of religion, Wilayah and the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.).

End.
